For too many years I foolishly put up with the pain in my hip hoping at some point the pain would stop. Wow, what a difference after meeting Mr Britton and his fantastic team. My first consultation with Mr Britton made me feel at ease, comfortable and confident that all would go well and it did. After only six weeks , from having a full hip replacement, I am up and about pain free. I have experienced the best treatment in the best hands resulting in pain free quality of life. Thank you so much.

He is without doubt an excellent surgeon and did a great job on my hip replacement. He has a good 'bedside manner' and explained the whole procedure, both pre and post operation, with clarity and understanding. I am in my 6th week post op and recovering well.

For almost five years l endured hip pain on my right side and by the end of 2022 the level of pain was so bad that l felt completely drained, physically and mentally. Living alone, my family would come to visit to help and support me, but day by day, l became weaker and less able to do normal everyday tasks and rarely left the house. My first consultation meeting with Mr. Britton changed everything! I was a little nervous, but l think Mr. Britton realised this and could clearly see the level of discomfort l was experiencing by my very limited mobility. We discussed the X-ray results and having listened to everything he had to say, l found him to be very patient, understanding and genuinely concerned about my situation, so he advised me that a total hip replacement operation would be the best course of action. The procedure was explained thoroughly to me and by the end of the meeting, l felt that here was a very honest, genuine and dedicated professional who cared about making a difference to people’s lives.So the sooner l had the operation, the sooner my quality of life would begin to improve. The operation went ahead and during my stay in hospital, Mr. Britton would visit each day to ask how l was and his manner was always very pleasant. At home, my recovery was exactly what l had been told to expect and within the first two weeks, l was amazed at how well l felt, especially now that l had no more excruciating hip pain 24 hours a day! Over the next few weeks l kept up with my physio exercises as well as plenty of rest, fresh air and good food and just over six weeks since my operation, l had my final consultation meeting with Mr. Britton. It was wonderful to be walking completely unaided and in no pain whatsoever. I sleep better, l’m getting my confidence back and l no longer need several different tablets four times a day to manage hip pain! I was very excited for Mr. Britton to see how well l am and how happy l am. My life is so different now and l have him to thank for that. My family are so pleased to see how well l’m doing, regaining my independence and making plans for the future, a happy, healthy and pain free future. Thank you so much Mr. Britton.

I found Mr Britton to be honest and straight to the point regarding my surgery. He didnt use complicated jargon and was swift to make a decision. On my follow up appointment I thought he looked genuinely pleased to see the difference my surgery had made to me.

Mr Edward Britton was absolutely amazing, he listened to all my issues and concerns and worked hard to address each and every one to give me total peace of mind. Before, during and after my operation (total hip replacement) he was there to ensure I was happy and comfortable every step of the process. The operation was a total success, I was walking and totally mobile after 3 weeks. I absolutely recommend Mr Edward Britton most highly. His care and attention to detail is second to none. He has totally transformed my everyday life.
